VIOLIN LESSONS

If you are looking to take your basic skills to the next level our intermediate will enable you to do that. You will learn the following:  Ear Training and Practice Skills, Practice Etudes, Performance Preparation, Intonation Guidance, Dynamic Recognition and Application.

Our Advanced class will teach you the following: Playing in alternate positions- Classic Shifting Techniques, Smooth and Seamless Shifts, Proper Finger Placement. Double-stops and chord playing, Advanced violin bow techniques such as spiccato, martele, staccato and more, as well as how to master violin vibrato and improvisation.

  • What is the cost of your violin lessons?

    Depending on the the length of the classes, the price ranges from $140-$280 per month for weekly lessons.

  • Do I need to have my own violin or does Big Star Music Academy provide one?

    We encourage all students to have their own personal violin. This allows for the student to practice daily and progress quicker.

  • How long will it take for me or my child to get good at playing the violin?

    With weekly guitar lessons and consistent practice, children and adults can play with basic proficiency as soon as 6 months. Each student is different, but 30 minutes of practice per day is recommended for each student. 

  • Do you offer one-on-one violin lessons?

    Yes! We teach private violin lessons in-person or online to best meet your needs with a passion to keep learning. 

  • Do you offer online violin lessons?

    Yes, Big Star Music Academy offers online one-on-one versions of all our music lessons in an effort to ensure you can enjoy quality music lessons. All students have the option to choose to take their lessons online or in our studios. Learn more about our online music lessons now.
